    About Us

Eco Centro at San Antonio College is a community center which focuses on sustainability and serves the great San Antonio area including the Alamo Community College district through educational programs, research, events, and collaboration with local environmental organizations. The building itself and surrounding grounds demonstrate several sustainable living methods such as the partially solar powered building, residential and commercial rain water catchment, electric car charging stations, BCycle station, strategically located bus stop, and native gardens utilizing xeriscaping, permaculture, food crop production, and a solar powered hydroponic growing container.
