    OUR MISSION:

    Empowering Individuals to Reach Their Educational Goals

    Platte Valley Literacy Association partners with Central Community College's Adult Education program in Columbus, Nebraska to provide educational opportunities for adults living in the surrounding regions of Platte, Colfax, Butler, Polk, Merrick, Nance and Boone counties. We strive to help students gain the educational and career readiness skills needed to be successful in life. Educational goals can be reached at any stage in life. Come join us and start your journey today!

    WHAT WE OFFER:

    • We offer learning resources in the following areas:
    • Adult Basic Education & GED studies
    • Official GED testing center (at the main Columbus campus)
    • English as a Second Language (ESL) Classes - Multiple levels from beginner to advanced
    • United States Citizenship Classes
    • Career Pathways - Career Readiness Skills: Communication, Time Management, Computers, Problem Solving, Job Application, & Basic Money Management
    • One-on-one tutoring - Adult Basic Education, GED, ESL, Citizenship, and Career Pathways (Depending on availability of volunteer tutors)
