  • About Us

The Batonga Foundation is 501 (c)(3) nonprofit founded by Grammy Award-winning West African singer, songwriter, and UNICEF International Goodwill Ambassador, Angelique Kidjo.

Our mission is to equip the hardest-to-reach girls and women with knowledge and skills to be agents of change in their own lives and communities. We envision a safer, healthier and more equitable world in which all girls and women can thrive. We are headquartered in Washington DC and have a thriving country office and wonderful team in Benin.
