Voices GY

About Us

Since its foundation in 2018, Voices GY has emerged as one of Guyana's foremost Civil Society Organisations working to support migrants and their host communities. In only two years, Voices GY has transformed from a small volunteer organisation trying to make a difference, to a hub for more than 25 professionals in Guyana and accross the globe to contribute towards current educational, livelihoods, mental health, capacity building and cultural programmes. The last year has seen an important transformation for the organisation.

Recognition from the Ministry of the Presidency in 2019 resulted in a National Youth Award, whereas new partnerships with the International Organisation for Migration (IOM) and the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF) have enabled Voices GY to assist more than two hundred refugees and migrants each week in Regions 1, 2, 3 and 4 throughout 2020. As 2021 looms, Voices GY is looking to consolidate our work in livelihoods, education and culture through our three programmatic areas: Migration, Environment and Culture.
