    About Us

RICEH advocates at the state and local level for policies to end homelessness (e.g. increased funding, sealing eviction records, payday lending reform, etc.), connects families and individuals living outdoors with shelter through a 365 day a year hotline, manages the statewide database that tracks all persons experiencing homelessness, and analyzes trends in homelessness to achieve better outcomes. RICEH runs SSDI/SSI Outreach, Access and Recovery programming, increasing access to disability benefit programs for eligible adults and children experiencing or at risk of homelessness. At its core, RICEH is dedicated to centering and empowering the voices of those who have lived experiences with housing instability and homelessness, through work with the Voices of Homelessness Bureau and Constituent Advocacy Committee.
