  • Mission

The purpose of the Lexington-Hamline Community Council is to improve the quality of life and bring about positive community change in the Lexington-Hamline neighborhood of St. Paul. This is done through the active involvement of neighborhood residents in community projects, programs, and direct action on issues which affect the neighborhood.

    About Us

Lex-Ham...A Unique History of Neighbors Working Together!

Over 50 years ago the residents of this neighborhood joined together to form the LHCC. They defined the boundaries of the area they wished to organize, gave the area a name "Lexington-Hamline"; and incorporated a tax exempt, non-profit organization to manage and carry out the goals and objectives put forth by the residents.

Since that time, the LHCC has helped decrease crime in the neighborhood, helped neighbors stay in their homes through a variety of assistance programs, addressed important issues that effect our neighborhood and identify solutions to problems as well as giving back to the community. Our board is comprised of volunteers who are committed to preserving the feel of this great community by bringing neighbors together and helping one another out. Thanks to the generosity of those who live here and believe in our mission, we have been able to survive all these years when many other community councils have folded. LexHam is indeed something special.

Won't you join us and help us continue that legacy? We have some fun opportunities that will look terrific on your resume.
