Appalachian Global Service Corps

  • About Us

Appalachian Global Service Corps (AGSC) is an organization committed to bridging the opportunity gap for students from Appalachia. We do this by providing financial support for, and access to, international service opportunities. Since the organization began, we have raised over $30,000 to support more than 20 students from Appalachia. These students traveled to Honduras and Peru to build schools, libraries and greenhouses, while living with local families and seeing the world. Before traveling with AGSC, the majority of our students never traveled more than 100 miles from their homes. After our alumni return from their trips, their teachers and parents have noticed they became higher achievers, compassionate classmates, and powerful student leaders and advocates.
