The Globesity Festival: Hunger Strike Theatre, is a unique direct action performance festival. Globesity refers to over-consumption. The Globesity Festival is a week of panels, discussions, parties featuring community organizations, and original performance exploring solutions to the climate of hyper consumption and consumerism, from food to culture and beyond. The Festival will take place at Theater for the New City on Manhattan's Lower East Side. The Globesity Festival is being produced and curated by Michael Premo and legendary performance artist Penny Arcade
