  • About Us

    Volunteer Training/Best Practices: September 7, 2013.

The Young Writers Program, a project of Santa Cruz Writes and the Santa Cruz County Office of Education, is actively seeking volunteers in the writing community to help grow opportunities for writers of all ages.

We are offering an introductory training for volunteers to begin working in the classroom as a Writing Project Assistant. Lauren Hall of 826 Valencia will teach you the necessary skills to work effectively with young writers in the classroom. Learn the ABC's of guiding young writers as well as some typical situations you can expect to encounter in the classroom. For more information RSVP by September 19 to Julia Chiapella at julia(at)santacruzwrites.org or 831-227-7690.
