Local Motion Inc.

We are a statewide Vermont not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization committed to making it safe, accessible, and fun for everyone to bike, walk, and roll in Vermont. We work at the state and local levels to advocate for safer and more accessible roads, trails, and sidewalks. In classes and workshops throughout the state, we teach children and adults to keep themselves and others safe on our roads. We offer a range of programs and services to towns, businesses, and individuals so that every Vermont resident and visitor has the opportunity to say yes to the joys and convenience of biking, walking and rolling. We also rent bikes to the public at our Trailside Center and operate the Island Line Bike Ferry connecting the Burlington area to the Champlain Islands.

We are a matrixed organization and value all staff members’ opinions and ideas, meaning there is ample opportunity to work across teams and programs on a variety of initiatives.
