Mission
White Cane Awareness Network's mission is to raise awareness and promote understanding of the white cane as a vital tool for independence within the blindness and low-vision community. Through community events, educational initiatives, and advocacy, we strive to highlight the critical role the white cane plays in empowering individuals to navigate the world with confidence and autonomy. By fostering inclusivity and reducing stigma, we aim to create a society that recognizes and celebrates the abilities of people with visual impairments.
About Us
Formed in 2025, our non profit is seeking volunteers for our annual awareness walk. As we expand we hope to destigmatize blindness and help the sighted world understand the lived experience of people with blindness and low vision.
