About Us

Recognizing the inherent worth and dignity of all people, Kitsap Immigrant Assistance Center (KIAC) is committed to the well-being and empowerment of immigrants through education, advocacy, and social justice. KIAC is the only organization in the West Puget Sound region dedicated solely to the needs immigrants face while navigating the challenges of life in a new country. KIAC provides an array of Family services, including medical and dental care, language education, housing resources, tax assistance, and drop-in hours. We also offer immigration legal services (including naturalizations, Green cards, adjustment of status, asylum, removal defense) for low-income clients. Our goal is to ensure that local services and organizations are accessible to immigrants, to help clients access those available resources, and to fill gaps where needed with specialized programs. We helped over 1000 clients last year with a small but growing staff and the help of hundreds of dedicated volunteers.
