Built As the family home of John and Eliza Wornall, the house played a crucial role in the 1864 Battle of Westport. The Wornall House is a treasure from the days of early Kansas City, and is a valuable educational tool for all ages. On our tours, visitors from around the metro and across the country learn about the frontier experience, the Border Wars, and the American Civil War in an immersive environment.
