ISED Ventures creates opportunities for low and moderate income Iowans to increase income and achieve financial stability. ISED Ventures helps people develop their talents, skills and experience to start a small business, obtain a quality job, and build financial stability. Nationally and locally recognized for its work in alleviating poverty, ISED received the 1998 Presidential Award for Microenterprise Development toward Poverty Alleviation.For its work as a microenterprise development organization working with women entrepreneurs, ISED Ventures is designated by the SBA as Women's Business Center. To assist people with personal finances ISED Ventures offers classes and personal coaching.
