  • About Us

NACDD serves at the national voice of 54 State and Territorial Councils on Developmental Disabilities. We support Councils in implementing the Developmental Disabilities Assistance and Bill of Rights Act and promoting the interests and rights of people with developmental disabilities and their families. Member Councils work to improve the lives of people with developmental disabilities through innovative approaches that change systems, build capacity and strengthen advocacy. Councils work on a range of issues affecting people with developmental disabilities, including employment, education, child care, health care transportation, housing, community services, recreation and quality assurance.
