Franklin Grand Isle Restorative Justice Center

About Us

Restorative justice focuses on the harm of wrongdoing and crime and how it affects relationships. Restorative Justice involves both victims and community in a process where each has a voice about how they have been affected and what they need for things to be made right. The offender is supported and encouraged to take responsibility and fulfill his/her obligations from an agreement that is reached. The restorative process also asks the offender to make changes in order to prevent new crimes.

The Mission of the Franklin Grand Isle Restorative Justice Center is to build a safe and inclusive community where all residents are accountable to each other. The Justice Center listens to victims and offenders, facilitates meaningful amends and change, and addresses conflict through community education, shared power, and respectful dialogue.
