    About Us

The Jenks Volunteer Program is an important part of citizenship. Since its inception in 1986, the program has grown steadily with volunteers making a difference in all aspects of the school district. Over 2,000 JPS volunteers consistently donate more than 100,000 hours of service to the students and staff in our school system. The volunteer program relies heavily on not only parental involvement, but TCC students, grandparents, retirees, and alumni as well. When you see these volunteers at your site, whether they are shelving books, helping in the lunchroo, tutoring students, or working in the office and classrooms, they are helping to make an impact on all levels of student life at Jenks. Every volunteer goes through an orientation and signs a contract and background form each year that re-emphasizes our regulations and procedures. They are kept in touch of volunteer opportunities through the guidance of the District Volunteer Coordinator.
