  • Mission

Our mission is to provide tree stewardship education and training. Specifically, we want to teach volunteers how to structurally prune young urban trees to set them up for success as they mature. Too often, tree pruning is performed reactively as mature trees start to obstruct traffic and urban infrastructure. This myopic approach to tree pruning can result in pruning cuts that are too large for trees to compartmentalize, as well as other pruning practices that are harmful to trees. By training trees from a young age, we as volunteers can ensure the health of our urban forests.

    About Us

Our lab is dedicated to the study of trees in the urban environment.
