About Us

The CRF has been an all-volunteer operation since 2007. For the past twelve years, we’ve been dedicated to supporting refugees from the Central African Republic living in refugee camps in south Chad, primarily in support of projects implemented by large NGOs. We have financed projects in health, agriculture, food, education, recreation, and in support of women’s higher education.

In 2020, CRF decided to make fundamental changes in its operations designed to deepen and expand our support with refugee communities. First, we’ve hired an Executive Director. Under the leadership of the Executive Director, CRF is redefining its vision, mission, and approach. As a foundation, we want our grantmaking and action to lift up refugees as the leaders, contributors, and problem-solvers that they are and demonstrate what is possible when refugees are not only invited to participate in the solution-creating process but given the resources, time, and freedom to lead and address the needs of their community.
