Community Education Building
The Community Education Building (CEB) is a private operating foundation with a strong interest in ensuring that a quality education is made available to all children in Wilmington, Delaware. The CEB is repurposing a 281,000 SF building, donated by Bank of America, into educational facilities for world class charter schools committed to transforming the educational experience for low income city children. We intend to act as a landlord to four charter schools serving some 2,400 city students, representing approximately 20% of Wilmington's school age population.
By providing access to quality space the CEB hopes that schools will be able to optimize their investment in education, not having to be as concerned with the routine facility related aspects of its operations. Our mission is to see these schools close the urban achievement gap of 20% points by 2020, and prepare their students for educational advancement or careers in a global arena by 2030.
