National Foster Care Coalition


About Us

The National Foster Care Coalition is a unique partnership of organizations and individuals, dedicated to building public and political will to improve the lives of children, youth, and young adults in and from foster care. Coalition members advocate on behalf of children, youth and families involved with the foster care system, support local, regional, and national foster care initiatives, offer significant levels of training and technical assistance, and provide education and information about foster care to decision makers at the local, state, and federal levels.

Members of the National Foster Care Coalition benefit through:

Participation in quarterly meetings, NFCC Committees, & discussions that inform national policy; Timely, focused and pertinent information; Entrée to a network of national, state, and local leaders in foster care and related fields; Opportunities to hear from a broad range of perspectives; Access to information about best practices, strategies and solutions to benefit families, foster children and youth; and Participation in coordinated advocacy efforts to strengthen child welfare practice and policy.
