Last year, we delivered 38,151 meals to homebound seniors through our Meals on Wheels program, providing not just nutritious food but also a vital lifeline for 160 individuals. For many, our friendly drivers are the only people they see all day-offering not just a meal, but meaningful human connection.
At the Payson Senior Center, we also served 7,232 in-house lunches, giving seniors not only a meal but also a place to gather, engage in exercise classes, health education, music, and support groups. With demand growing, we often have a waiting list, and we expect these numbers to rise even higher in the coming year.
In addition to meals, we provided 3,640 essential trips for seniors, ensuring they could attend medical appointments, pick up prescriptions, go grocery shopping, and socialize at the Center. With our Senior Express program expanding to add another driver, we hope to provide an additional 624 trips annually-helping more seniors stay independent and maintain their quality of life.
We can’t do this alone. Your time and compassion can help us meet the increasing needs of our community. By volunteering, you’ll play a crucial role in delivering meals, offering rides, or simply being a friendly face to someone in need. Join us and be a part of the growing movement to support our seniors-your efforts will directly improve lives and foster independence.
