  • Mission

To change how Cape Cod families respond to grief. We provide community engagement opportunities which includes Expressive Art Therapy sessions in schools and at home, educational workshops on grief, and family grief events all to help children and families cope with death, loss and or tragedy.

    About Us

This 501 c non profit was created by a parent who has a MA in Expressive Art Therapy, a BA in Early Childhood Education and is a Grief Support Specialist. When she returned home to cape cod with her own family she worked first hand with at risk children suffering from many different types of loss. She is an advocate for children and wants to promote the fact that children do in fact grieve and they grieve differently. She began this organization as project, providing communities on cape with lending libraries of bibliotherapy books and take home therapy kits. She felt there was more she could do so she made sure Good Grief Cape Cod became a non profit and was able to begin offering expressive art therapy sessions in group settings in schools and at home. She presents educational workshops which combine early childhood education, grief studies and ways the community can help our kids grieve in positive constructive ways. She is the powerhouse of the organization along with being the mother of three children. And needs your help with continuing the provide these much needed services to the Cape Cod community.
