STAND: The Student-Led Movement to End Mass Atrocities

  • About Us

STAND is the leading student movement committed to preventing and ending mass atrocities and genocide. STAND works to engage U.S. foreign policy in implementing genocide prevention and civilian protection programs, and empowers its own student leaders with the tools to prevent and stop mass atrocities. Born out of the fight to stop the genocide in Darfur, Sudan, STAND is creating a sustainable student network that actively fights genocide where ever it occurs. With hundreds of chapters, youth communities, an international network, and individual thought-leaders engaged at the national level from schools across the country, STAND is the only organization created, led, and managed by students.

We're building the first permanent anti-genocide constituency and we're here to stay.
