HEALTH WORLD EDUCATION LTD

At Horsense, humans and horses create a warm and welcoming environment for children ages 9 to 10. Horsense is a program for self discovery; where individuals build confidence, discover new skills and develop new friendships. The program is designed for children who otherwise would not have the opportunity to interact with horses.

This outreach program is operated by Health World Education, a non profit 501 C3, locally based organization that champions children’s safety and health. The Horsense program is sponsored by the Scottsdale Charro’s, MacDonald’s Ranch.

A good organization runs on great volunteers and at Horsense our volunteers keep us running. The impact of our program runs deep and the magic that happens when our volunteers interact with the kids and horses is immeasurable.

Horsense always needs volunteers with a variety of skill sets but for those interested in working directly with the horses and children (Ride Crew) we require some basic horse related experience.

Our Ride Crew (horse) volunteer requirements:

• Basic horse related experience.
• Age 16+ or by instructor permission
• Ability to stand and walk for an extended period.
• Ability to walk with the horse and rider.
