WELCOME HOME COLLABORATIVE

  • Mission

Mission Statement: Provide transitional housing for the homeless, working poor and families, who are looking for a second chance in life, by remodeling vacant or distressed properties in the inner-city of Cincinnati.

    About Us

    Primary Programs:

There are three (3) goals for the Welcome Home Collaborative, supported by two (2) programs:.

    Transitional Housing:

The Welcome Home Collaborative offers transitional housing for the homeless and working poor individuals. Individual Associates will be offered a sleeping room in a house or apartment sharing common space. Families will be offered apartments or houses. All Individuals and Family Heads will be assigned Life Coaches. SMART Goals are established. All associates are required to be activity engaged to reach these SMART Goals.

    Employment/Training:

The Welcome Home Collaborative will continue to acquire vacant and distressed properties in the inner city using licensed contractors and skilled volunteers. At the same time, on-the-job training will be offered as an option for associates to learn both job and life skills. All participants in this program will be required to first attend a 4-week training program through Jobs Plus.

Remodeling / Renovating Vacant or Distressed Properties:

Finally, the Welcome Home Collaborative will acquire vacant or distressed homes/buildings in the inner city of Cincinnati with the intent to remodel and restore them. The goal is to beautify neighborhoods in the inner city and lift up the people in these neighborhoods.
