Our Purpose Statement

i.D.E.A.L. Inc. is a 501 (c3) nonprofit organization whose purpose is to decisively empower a life of teens with year round educational programs, workshops, and community service projects. IDEAL Inc. provides prom attire help to financially challenged teens attend their high school prom in style.

The initial reason for starting this organization was to remove the barriers that prevented unprivileged teens from attending their prom. It is often due to the families’ lack of financial resources to cover all the necessary expense of prom clothes for their children. The I.D.E.A.L organization formally called Cinderella's Closet & More of Atlanta Inc. is comprised of three different programs they are as follows: Cinderella's Closet Atlanta, The keep Moving Project, and Its only takes One project. The first project Cinderella's Closet Atlanta is unique in that it requires financially challenged teens to show proof of need and to perform at least 20 hours of community service. In exchange for borrowing the prom clothing, the teens are required to make a small deposit to secure their prom clothing of which half of the deposit is refunded to them upon successfully returning of the clothing back to the organization in a timely manner. `

The keep moving project came about as a response to the growing concern of teen obesity here in the state of Georgia and the nation as a whole. This project is about helping teens to be the best they can be at any shape or size. The aim is to introduce simple lifestyles changes for a more healthy and fit body. It is the hope of I.D.E.A.L. Inc. organization to help teens decisively change their own life. First by giving teens, a place, to start the program the for example lace up club encourages beginners to take a brisk walk for 10 min a day for the first week, then increasing the walking time over the next 4 weeks until they can walk for sixty min each day. A brisk walking plan is the single most attainable form of exercising today that most people can do. The next 12 weeks are aerobic exercise that will include brisk walk running, hiking, weight training, self-defense, and nutritional cooking, classes for teens and their parents.

“It only takes One”- Is the title for the teen mentoring project that seeks to pair-up teens according to their interest in various industries with local business owners that are willing to show teens that the American dream is still possible with determination, vision and a strong desire to succeed. The mentorship project goal is to empower teens desiring to make positive decisions create a better lifestyle starting with etiquette, image consulting, teen dating issues, drugs, alcohol abuse, emotional conflict resolutions techniques, and financial literacy.
