    ABOUT BLACK FAMILY WEEKEND

    We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 organization that teams up with various San Jose State University (SJSU) and other local organizations to provide inclusive, enjoyable Black Family Weekend experiences for current/future SJSU students, alumni, faculty/staff, and the surrounding communities.

    Our goal is to host successful home-away-from home Black family culture reunions during San Jose State University Homecoming weekend. Our reunion activities include a comedy show, scholarship giveaway, golf tournaments, cultural stroll and step show, tailgating, afterparties, and a brunch.

    Your volunteer services would help make our activities more successful while you have fun engaging in them!
