    Our Mission To bring the community and the primate/exotic rescue and preservation mission together in a way that enhances lives. Our volunteers are passionate about our animals, the environment , and species preservation. To help preserve critically endangered species through sharing of data, animals and resources with other zoological facilities, thereby helping to reduce the threat of extinction.

    About Us

    Our volunteers are asked to commit to a weekly or biweekly 4 hour shift. Our shifts are 9am - 1pm and 2pm - 6pm every day . Candidates must be at leaat 18 years old , physically capable of working outdoors during the Florida summer and being on your feet for 4 hour shifts.

    Duties include:

    Cleaning animal enclosures

    Weeding / mulching

    Preparing foods for animal diets

    Animal enrichment

    Assisting with feeding and changing waters

    Cleaning and organizing kitchen and storage buildings

    After 50 hours of training is achieved, there is a safety quiz and then more activities become available such as animal socialization, hosting tours, and much more!
