Mission statement: South Side Food Coop(SSFC) mission is to provide African American communities with limited access to supermarkets the opportunity to purchase fresh, nutritious foods at affordable prices.

To achieve this mission we

* partner with local farmers to help provide the community with not only fresh produce, but facilitate connections and keep the money spent closer to our community 

* partner with local African American vendors to not only promote their products, but educate the consumers about better way of eating that will either help to better manage, or prevent preexisting conditions such as hypertension, diabetes, coronary artery disease.

We strive to end racism and promote universal unity thru special events held within a designated area of the co-op.
