About Us

For as long as there have been queer people, there has been discrimination against queer people, from our governments and communities, from workplaces and adoption centers, and worst of all, from our health providers and education systems. This inequity in our country is even worse in lower-income communities, rural areas, and communities of color, where access to vital healthcare may be severely limited, and where queer-specific healthcare can in many cases be non-existent. Furthermore, this inequity is also experienced in states and localities under the governance of regressive and conservative policymakers, executives, and school boards.

Our mission here at Homoglobin is to address this systemic inequality through educating the public on our core issues, consulting with citizens, activists, and public health officials in these disaffected communities, and working with governments at all levels to enact meaningful legislation that ensures that everyone has access to universal sexual healthcare and a progressive, comprehensive sexual education curriculum in their schools.
