The Mosby Heritage Area Association

  • About Us

The mission of the Mosby Heritage Area Association is to encourage preservation through education. MHAA was created in 1995 to preserve a key 1800-square mile area of historic importance in northern Virginia's piedmont region. This region, often dubbed horse country, was known as Mosby's Confederacy during the Civil War, for the daring Col. John S. Mosby and his Rangers who operated here.
