Child Language Lab

  • About Us

The Child Language Lab is a research lab directed by Dr. Adriana Weisleder in the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders at Northwestern University. Our research team studies how children learn language through interacting with the world and people around them.  We are especially interested in how diverse cultural and communicative experiences influence language learning. We partner with community and early childhood organizations in the development of family and community-based approaches for reducing poverty-related disparities in children’s developmental and educational outcomes.
