    VFA was established in 1978 to help to Vietnamese refugees and immigrants adjust to life in the US after the Vietnam War. VFA offers programs that focus on youth and community leadership, educational and academic achievement, and parent empowerment.

    VFA advances equity in education, fosters civic engagement, and advocates for Vietnamese and other refugee and immigrant communities. VFA envisions a society where all members of the Vietnamese and other refugee and immigrant communities have the social, economic, and political power to succeed and to contribute to the betterment of our world. VFA staffs and board strive to adhere values including compassion, responsibility, integrity, equity, and fun!
