Bigfoot Asia Pacific Foundation, Inc. is a non-profit organization funded by Bigfoot Global Solutions, Inc and Bigfoot Entertainment, Inc. Its main focus is to improve, through the use of new technology, the quality of education of public school children in underprivileged areas in the Philippines.
To date, with a total funding of about US$ 700,000, the foundation has built 22 public school-based computer learning centers in far-flung areas of Cebu and other parts of Central Visayas; provided them with computers and computer books, and gave training to teachers from 33 public school beneficiaries in Cebu and the nearby province of Negros Oriental.
The foundation is also funding the college education of poor but deserving students through scholarship grants.
Early this year, the foundation awarded US$ 27,000 each to the Department of Education-Cebu City and Cebu province to establish their respective computer training centers for teachers.
On March 7, 2006, in the minutes of the 8th Regular Session of Cebu Province, Resolution 1143-2006, the Cebu Provincial Government thanked the foundation for its invaluable support and contribution given to the community.
