  • About Us

The ICMC is a Chicago-based non-profit dedicated to changing the way children view, use and engage with media on electronic screens.

Media are the most influential forces in children’s lives (as they end up watching 1400 hours a year, more than they spend in school) and an understanding of media is crucial for success in a global, digital culture. Our goal is to transform "screen time" so that it cultivates children's intellectual, social and emotional development.

We achieve our goal through our various programs, including workshops for parents and teachers, international children's film festivals, in school programs for kids and more.
