K-State Campaign for Nonviolence

  • About Us

Consistent with the view of K-State as a community which is both distinctive and part of a larger community and world, the campus-wide Campaign for Nonviolence (CNV) has been working for since 2000 to address violence and its continuum of precursors in a manner that we believe is unique for a university campus. We are working to reduce violence and change the environment surrounding conflict by learning to practice and teach nonviolence. The K-State CNV is a growing affiliation of women and men from all sectors of our community who share the realization that we can build a safe community and peaceful world only if we begin to examine conflict within the context of whole systems, address the complex causes of violence.
