Building Performance Institute

BPI is a national standards development and credentialing nonprofit organization for residential energy efficiency retrofit work. We are helping build an industry, create a workforce, and support programs through professional certification, contractor accreditation, and quality assurance services. BPI credentials are required by more than 120 programs across the US, including the New York State Energy Research and Development Authority, Energy Trust of Oregon and Austin Energy. The role of the Western Region Office is to represent BPI’s interest regionally in communications with state, local and municipal government agencies, industry partners, and utilities in support of Residential Energy Efficiency programs and legislative state and federal initiatives. In order to manage the growth of the BPI Accredited Contractor network, the Western office provides education, support, and advice to utility, government, and regulatory personnel.
