About Us

The John Swett Education Foundation, commonly known as JSEF, is an all volunteer group of community members dedicated to promoting excellence in our schools within the John Swett Unified School Distrtict (JSUSD). We do this through funding and supporting identified classroom needs and programs that promote academic achievement, personal growth, and the health of our students.

JSEF was founded in 2006 by a group of local citizens who wanted to benefit our local public schools in a time of diminishing resources. We believe that providing every child with a high quality education is probably the most important responsibility we have as a community. Education is the key to success and it helps our young people become responsible and productive adults.

Our small district serves Crockett, Rodeo, Port Costa, and a section of Hercules. It consists of four schools: Rodeo Hills Elementary, located in Rodeo, and Carquinez Middle School, John Swett High School and Willow Alternative Education Campus, located in Crockett.
