About Us

An extraordinary breed of woman capable of leading her community and of getting others to follow in tackling society’s thorniest issues and orchestrating monumental, meaningful change while enhancing the social, cultural and political fabric of our civil society; The Junior League.

Junior League women are highly motivated, educated, influential individuals who transform their communities through advocacy, direct service, public education, fundraising and hard work on the front lines of modern society’s toughest problems. With comprehensive training, vast networks, and a collaborative approach to designing solutions, they step in where government or social services agencies are not fully meeting a community’s needs, whether for lack of resources, knowledge or funding.

The Junior League of Eastern Fairfield County (JLEFC) is comprised of members from the following communities: Bridgeport, Easton, Fairfield, Monroe, Newtown, Redding, Shelton, Southport, Stratford, Trumbull, Weston and Westport.

The JLEFC is a 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. All of our programs and activities are supported by League membership dues, foundation and corporate grants and other revenue-producing efforts. Our purpose is exclusively educational and charitable.
