About HBCUvc
HBCUvc is a fiscally sponsored project of SocialGood, a 501c3 nonprofit organization. We train and prepare university students and emerging professionals for a career in venture capital. Our 184 fellows are located across the country and we work with venture capitalists at top-tier firms such as True Ventures, Redpoint Ventures, Intel Capital, and Playground Global.
Our Vision
To build a global innovation economy where Black, Indigenous, and Latinx innovators can boldly create, fail, invest, and thrive
Our Mission
HBCUvc’s mission is to direct how capital is formed and distributed to increase opportunities for Black, Indigenous and Latinx innovators. We accomplish this by developing, connecting and mobilizing the next generation of venture capital leaders in communities where entrepreneurs face barriers in accessing capital, and by empowering institutions to employ race-conscious investing practices.
