University Council-American Federation of Teachers

The University Council – American Federation of Teachers is a statewide Union Council of nine Locals representing approximately 4,000 librarians and Non-Senate Faculty (most of whom are lecturers) at the University of California’s ten campuses and five medical centers.

We bargain and enforce labor contracts for those who we represent, assist our member leaders in organizing at the campus level, and engage in politics where it effects our members.
