Teaching Firms of America Charter Schools

Teaching Firms of America Charter Schools (TFOA) is a new and innovative charter school organization seeking to launch the first of its proposed "Teaching Firms" in Brooklyn, NY in Fall 2011. The Teaching Firm is a unique and innovative charter model for a first of its kind teacher-led and managed elementary charter school, with a management structure similar to those used by lawyers and doctors. TFOA's core mission is to provide fun, college preparatory elementary school experiences to low-income inner-city youth, where students are nurtured, challenged and ultimately cultivated into highly intelligent, creative and critically thinking young leaders in an instructional environment that is student centered, data driven and mastery focused.
