Railyard Park Conservancy
The Railyard Park Conservancy is a local 501(c)3 non-profit organization that provides the horticultural care, environmental education, and public programming at the Santa Fe Railyard Park – our community’s award winning, 13-acre urban Park in the heart of Santa Fe. The Railyard Park Conservancy provides for the care and educational programming of the park utilizing staff and dedicated volunteers.
The Park landscape includes a Rose Ramada, xeric and native plants, the Acequia Madre and Acequia Nina, orchards, the Community and Heritage Waffle Gardens, scent gardens, and a Children’s Play Area. Throughout the year, we host school groups in our Outdoor Classroom and offer horticultural workshops on gardening, soil science, pest management, rose and tree care, water-wise plant selection, and attracting pollinators.
We are always in need of volunteers to come and help us care for the gardens throughout the Park. "Yard Masters" volunteers meet every Tuesday and Thursday to work on projects under the guidance of knowledgeable staff members of the Railyard Park Conservancy. It also provides a great opportunity to learn about xeric plantings, roses, pruning, tree care, and water-wise gardening techniques from an expert.
No prior experience or knowledge is necessary!
