About Us

The Global Association of Economics Education (GAEE) is a multinational NGO founded and led by students to promote economics education and entrepreneurship incubation for marginalized communities and underserved school systems.

GAEE's mission is to democratize access to economics education by leveraging its tight-knit network of 1500+ members across ten countries. The organization frequently hosted webinars with world-renowned economists, organized academic conferences for high school and undergraduate students, conducted training-of-trainers workshops for its chapter leaders who in turn spearheaded GAEE's activism in their local and school communities, as well as essay competitions, business case contests, and distant learning through its economic literacy mobile application.

GAEE is recognized by the United States Department of the Treasury as a 501(c)(3) public charity, listed as an NGO by the United Nations Economic and Social Council's Civil Society Network, recognized as a member of the World Economics Association, and accredited as a SMART initiative and as the #SDGAction36897 by the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs.

Past speakers and judges at GAEE have included Sir Ivor Roberts, Tim Harford, Richard Boucher, Prof. John Fender, Dr. SP Sharma, Prof. Layna Mosley, Vicky Pryce, Sam Daws, Prof. Maya Tudor, Dr. Radhakrishnan Pillai. Members and volunteers at GAEE have come from the universities of Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford, Columbia, UC Berkeley, Ivey, UCL, Georgetown, Boston, Bentley, etc.
