The Monument's mission is to remember the hundreds of thousands of lives lost to the HIV/AIDS epidemic in the U.S., to celebrate the courage of the activists and caregivers that changed the world, and to educate the public about the historic and ongoing impact of the HIV/AIDS epidemic.
