About Us

Are you interested in helping women who have placed a child for adoption? Do you have an hour or more to spare a week? Are you able to work from home or come to our office? Are you blessed and want to give back? The Donna K. Evans Foundation or SWAP Program (Supporting Woman After Placement) was started by the director of a local adoption agency, Building Arizona Families. Kelly Rourke-Scarry was adopted and the foundation has been created in loving memory of her birth mother. This program will assist birth mothers in achieving their goals and dreams and provide them with much needed additional support after the placement of their child for a private adoption. Clients will receive help with obtaining their GED, job search, emotional support and counseling, emergency food and housing assistance, and much more! We want women to know they matter. The DKE foundation is non-profit and run strictly on donations. Volunteer and community support is vital in order to provide after care services to birth mothers in need. We are looking for volunteers to help pass out literature to local doctors’ offices, hospitals, food banks, shelters, etc., help with gathering and organizing donations, serve as a peer support/mentor to woman in the SWAP program, send mail-outs to local organizations to strengthen community support and much more! You may visit https://www.dkefoundation.com/ to learn more about the foundation. If you are interested in volunteering with The Donna K. Evans Foundation or need additional information on specific volunteer opportunities available please contact Lindsay Taylor via telephone at 623-670-0200 or email at lindsay@dkefoundation.com.
