United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region

The United Way of the Battle Creek and Kalamazoo Region is committed to positive change and meaningful impact. Our new regional impact strategy addresses the most pressing needs in our regional community. The strategy – developed in concert with partners, communities and supporters across the region – focuses on specific, measurable outcomes and collaborative efforts that produce healthy, educated and economically stable individuals and families. Achieving these goals depends on the support and engagement of the entire region.

The driving force of United Way exists in our name: United. From the beginning, we’ve strived to unite people, resources and passion to address the needs in our community. Unity remains fundamental to our mission. At the same time, our region’s needs are evolving, and United Way is keeping pace as always—building strong partnerships and mobilizing resources effectively to drive greater impact. Countless lives have been changed, and our region is stronger. Now we are diving deeper to tackle the most pressing issues in Education, Income, Health and Basic Needs. United Way’s new regional impact strategy is built
upon a clear vision and mission, a commitment to meaningful goals, and a determination to promote equity by addressing racial and economic disparities. We seek to change conditions on specific problems and to galvanize a critical mass of people,
organizations and sectors working together to create measurable impact.
