The Genesis Foundation for Children

  • Mission

We fund programs and services that treat patients with rare diseases and genetic disorders from conception and pregnancy through childhood and adulthood.

    About Us

The Genesis Foundation for Children, a New England based non-profit organization.

We’re on a mission to give patients and their families access to care that’s different. Families given a rare disease or genetic disorder diagnosis can feel lost and frustrated. We fund medical care, therapy, assistive technologies, and other programs that allow doctors and staff to provide integrated, coordinated care.

We call it the Feingold Model of Coordinated Care.

Listen: We fund medical centers and programs that give the patient the attention they deserve. We are under no pressure to see a certain number of patients a day; we spend the time needed to listen, understand, ask, and answer questions.

Collaborate: We support medical professionals who work collaboratively to provide unified care. We empower medical staff to work directly with insurance companies to help families get access to any care outside of their coverage.

Coordinate: We aid staff members who coordinate and consolidate appointments to reduce the number of trips to see several doctors and specialists. Our families should be spending their time working and being with their loved ones.

Serve: We assist practitioners to address patient needs, holistically. If a child needs access to additional support, we will advocate for them. If a parent needs help with financial or custodial planning for his child, we will help.
