Schools for Salone builds schools and supports education in Sierra Leone, West Africa.
Schools for Salone began by rebuilding the schools that were destroyed in Sierra Leone’s civil war. Over the past 15 years we have expanded to training teachers, building toilets and handwashing stations, and ensuring students - especially girls - have the tools they need to go to school regularly.
Based in Seattle, Schools for Salone has a proven track record of working with Sierra Leoneans to realize their dreams for their communities. Our dedicated partners in Sierra Leone complete construction projects in three months and provide ongoing support for students and teachers in all 25 schools and 3 libraries we have built so far.
